The Five Experiences

The Five Experiences of a Quality Life . . .

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10 (NIV)

At River Hills we are committed to helping people lives quality lives now and forever. That means we are committed to helping all people grow into fully devoted, fully developed followers of Christ.  Growing in our relationship with God as a devoted follower is our utmost priority.

To help you identify what this means, we’ve identified The Five Experiences of a Quality Life that drive us in all we do.  From message content to group materials and all our events, it is our goal to help you establish a personal relationship with Jesus and grow to love and know him more each day.

As a fully devoted follower, we encourage you to:

Enter

I will enter fully into a relationship with Jesus and his people. Life is relationships.  Loving God and loving people is at the heart of a quality life now and forever.  Treating God and people with the respect they deserve is essential for a good life.

Pursue

I will pursue a process of life development and spiritual growth. Everyone ends up somewhere; few people end up somewhere on purpose.  Growth is normal for the follower of Jesus.  We have a responsibility to ourselves, to our community and to our God to maximize the potential he has given us.

Connect

I will connect in authentic Biblical community. Life is a group activity.  Small groups nurture love.  By connecting with a small group you commit yourself to maintaining biblically healthy relationships and to being a catalyst in helping others connect in relationships.

Invest

I will invest my gifts, time, talent and treasure in service to God and others. We serve one another and we serve the world.  It is when we give ourselves away in service that we are most alive, most like God.  When we serve we lift up and share Jesus.  We care enough about people to encourage others to meet and know him.

Live

I will gratefully live and give myself in love and worship to God. Seeing God for who he is and giving him what he deserves is the daily privilege of forgiven people.  We celebrate and worship God in our public and private lives.  Live your life to the full, in love with an awesome God.
