River Kids is committed to helping children experience the best hour of their week while they’re at River Hills! Our goal is to partner with parents as we teach children how to know God better and develop a personal relationship with him through Jesus Christ. Children in our Early Childhood program enter The Pond. Elementary students enter The Creek.
The POND
In our Early Childhood ministry children enter the POND. This means we intentionally teach our youngest kids about:
Powerful Truths (introducing kids to important Bible truths in fun, safe spaces and age-appropriate ways)
Offering Grace (helping kids learn to freely share, care, and give themselves away to others)
Naming Their Creator (we teach kids about who God is and how we should be in awe of his creation)
Developing Disciplines (partner with parents so kids develop a strong foundation for lasting faith in God)
In our Elementary ministry, K-fifth graders cross the CREEK. This means we intentionally:
Connect Kids (with God, one another, their families and our team of weekly volunteers)
Raise Leaders (kids and adults will serve in our community in ways that match their giftedness)
Emphasize Jesus (kids learn about Jesus and biblical truths in creative and culturally-relevant ways)
Experience God (knowing about God simply isn’t enough; seeing him in action in our lives is the goal)
Kreate Kid-Friendly Spaces (kids enjoy being in fun, safe spaces, specifically designed for them)
